Our house is gluten free everyday, but in an effort to increase awareness about celiac disease, gluten Intolerance and a gluten-free diet, I'm encouraging my friends, blog readers and loved ones to take the gluten free challenge.

Yes family this means YOU, MIL, FIL, BIL, nephews and so on. I am challenging you to spend one weekend gluten-free.

The challenge takes place on May 22 and 23, 2010. You can sign up for the challenge here Gluten-Free Challenge , they will send you newsletters with tips and recipes to assist you through your challenge, so you won’t be totally in the dark. The challenge is completely free, and there are even chances to win cool gluten-free products.

  • The weekend of May 22 & 23, right in the heart of Gluten-free Awareness Month. But, don't forget to sign up early for more chances to win free products, receive the daily recipes and tips, and share your experiences.
Why have a Gluten-Free Challenge?
  • Living gluten-free can feel isolating, but it shouldn't. We believe that if we invite our gluten-consuming friends and family to join us at the table. We can all enjoy a delicious meal together. They will also be able to see that eating/living gluten free doesn't mean "taste free" And have a little insight to what living gluten free means.

Awesome, thank you for helping raise awareness for celiac disease and encouraging everyone to take the Gluten-free Challenge. What a great idea by the GIG and Pamela's Products!

Also wanted to point out that New York State Senate and North Carolina Governor Bev Perdue are (as far as I know) the only two States officially recognizing May 2010 as Celiac Awareness month. Let's hope that more States will join in 2011!
